Accessibility
Last reviewed 23 October 2026.
We want everyone to be able to use this website, however you browse. If something gets in your way, please tell us and we’ll help.
What we aim for
We’re working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard most UK websites are measured against.
What you can expect
- You can reach every link, button and form field with a keyboard, and you can always see where you are on the page.
- A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page, so you can jump past the menu.
- Each page has one main title, with headings in order underneath, so screen readers can move around it.
- Every field on the invite form has its own label written above it.
- Links and buttons are big enough to tap easily on a phone.
- You can zoom the page in, and the writing reflows to fit your screen.
- You can stop every film on the site with “Pause films” at the foot of each page, and start them again the same way.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the films stay still and the page stops animating.
- Our films have no sound, so there’s nothing that needs captions.
What isn’t right yet
We know about these, and we’re working on them:
- A few large headings are white on our orange, such as the drinks menu title and the big links in the site menu, and a few words are orange on our cream background, such as “Where we’ve been”. These are lower contrast than WCAG asks for, so they may be hard to read. All the other writing on orange is dark. If anything is hard to read, call or email us and we’ll go through it with you.
- We haven’t yet tested the downloadable PDF menu with a screen reader. The same menu is on the drinks page as ordinary text.
Tell us about a problem
If you find something that doesn’t work for you, or you need anything from the site in a different way, let us know. It helps if you tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do and what happened.
We aim to reply within 5 working days.
How we checked
The people who built the site reviewed it on 23 October 2026, using a keyboard, at phone and computer sizes, against WCAG 2.2 AA.
We’ll look at this statement again whenever the site changes, and at least once a year.
